Rough Cut

I finished trimming and creating my rough cut for the film, and while there is no sound yet and I haven't overlayed the diagetic and nondiagetic music, it still felt boring.

I realized this might be from a lack of dialogue in the beginning since the character isn't doing much action in the getting ready sequence. I'll probably add in a narration to the beginning since it's a typical convention of rom coms to begin with and it'll keep the film beginning entertaining.

You can see the full rough cut here and how empty it feels. I feel like the personality of the character isn't developed as well as the other films I watched, so having a narration during the montage may fix this.
