Picking from extra takes

When filming, I like to film from an extra angle just to have a backup shot selection if it fits the scene better. Sometimes I have these potential shots written down, other times it's improvised while I'm out there and I want to frame the shot differently.

When reviewing these differences in takes, I try to match what the shot composition before it had. I try to keep it consistent so I don't jar the viewer since the purpose of this opening sequence is to be soothing and dreamlike.

I had to pick between a still or tracking over-the-shoulder shot in these clips. I also wanted to see if I could put them together to create a kinetic quality with both of them, but ultimately I went with the still since most of these shots before and following were stills.

I feel like this accurately depicts a dream since when you dream, it feels like it's not a moving camera but moreso watching from a 3rd person perspective.
