Outlining my Film

 Looking at the different movies within my genre gave me a good basis and inspiration to start outlining my own film finally. 

The film starts off with the main character in a dream (it’s not evident to the reader yet that she’s in a dream, but many of the shots are aesthetically pleasing from high angles and extreme close ups and kinetic quality shots, giving it a dreamlike quality so maybe diffusion shot).

The way I want the character to be woken up is by an interruption in the music (the alarm going off). The switch from the dream to reality is a visually similar shot (or what they did in To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before where it’s a swish pan) to MC sleeping in bed.

Next sequence is of Maddie getting ready for school in typical high school rom com style.

I definitely do NOT want a ‘lip syncing to a song’ sequence during this scene.

If there’s still filming time after this point, I’ll have myself pull up to Maddie’s house to drive her to school (so that best friends driving to school together trope).

Now that I have the basis for the film and how many character's I wanted (2 or possibly 3 if I'm in it)
